Welcome to MatchPoint Pickleball League – Season 2! After an exciting first season, we are back with an even bigger and better tournament! This guide provides an overview of the tournament structure, key dates, and preliminary rules. Please note that the rules and details mentioned here are subject to change, with final updates to be announced before the tournament begins. Format & Preliminary Rules (Subject to Change) - Total Teams: 8 - Entry Fee: ₹1699 per player (₹400 will be instantly returned as MatchPoint Cash once registration ends) - Tentative Team Composition: - 6 Men (including the captain) - 2 Women - 2 Women (40+) - 2 Men (40+) (Final team size will be determined based on total entries.) Eligibility Criteria - Location Restriction: Participation is open exclusively to players from Vadodara. - Mandatory Availability: - Players must be available on at least one of the following Exhibition Days: - February 20th (Thursday Evening) or February 23rd (Sunday Morning) (These sessions will allow captains to observe players’ skills for better team selection during the auction.) - Players must be available on all match days from March 6th to March 9th. Key Dates - Exhibition Days: February 20th (Thursday Evening) or February 23rd (Sunday Morning) - Auction Day: February 24th (Optional for players) - Tournament Dates: March 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th Tournament Format - League Stage: Each team will play every other team once. - Playoffs: Top 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs. - Match Types: The tournament will feature the following match categories: 1. Men’s Doubles 2. Women’s Doubles 3. Mixed Doubles 4. Men’s Singles 5. 40+ Categories & Split Age Events (New Addition!) Prize & Rewards - Prize Pool: The prize money will be announced after registrations close but before the tournament begins.
