Event Format:
In a knockout stage, also known as a single-elimination format, players compete in matches where the loser is eliminated from the tournament and the winner advances to the next round. Here's how it works following the group stage you described:
Quarter-finals: The top player from each group advances to the knockout stage. With 3 groups, there would be 3 players advancing from each category.
Semi-finals: The winners of the quarter-final matches move on to the semi-finals. There are 4 players in this round.
Final: The winners of the semi-final matches advance to the final.
Final Match: The last 2 players compete for the championship.
So, the knockout stage is a series of matches where each match eliminates one player, and only the winners proceed until the final winner is determined.
