Welcome to the Women’s Pickleball League (WPL) – Presented by MatchPoint Vadodara After a blockbuster MPL, we're thrilled to bring you the first-ever WPL – an all-women's competitive pickleball league! Below is everything you need to know before registering. Final details and rules will be shared closer to the event. Format & Preliminary Rules (Subject to Change) - Total Teams: 4 - Entry Fee: ₹1599 per player - Team Composition: - Open to Women (under 40) and 40+ Women - Final team size will be determined based on total entries Eligibility Criteria - Open to players based in Vadodara only - For Advanced and Pro level women players – players should have a basic understanding of gameplay - Mandatory Availability: - Players must be available on the Exhibition Day – April 19 (Saturday) (This session allows captains to assess players for the auction) - Players must be available for all match days: - April 28, April 29, and April 30 Key Dates - Exhibition Day: April 19 (Saturday) - Auction Day: April 21 (Monday) (Players are not required to attend) - Tournament Dates: April 28, 29, and 30 Tournament Format - League Stage: Each team plays all other teams once - Final: Top 2 teams qualify for the final - Match categories (final list will be confirmed soon): Likely to include Women’s Doubles, Singles, Mixed Age Doubles, and more Prize & Rewards - Winning team will receive MatchPoint credits - Prize structure will be announced before the tournament begins Once registered, please join the following WhatsApp group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/BQMr4xjqysIDVmbMxlbR2g
